Headline numbers

The 12-month
footprint, at a glance.

Every number below is computed from real telemetry, anonymised, and annualised from the live reporting window using UK seasonality weighting. The full methodology sits at the bottom of the page.

Total emissions
509t
CO₂e across Scope 1 + Scope 3 Well-to-Tank for the reporting year.
Per vehicle
5.09t
Average annual footprint. Range: 0.4 t (EV) to 11.2 t (highest-duty diesel).
Diesel burnt
158,190L
Roughly one 200,000-litre road tanker and three quarters.
Data quality
5/5
GHG Protocol quality score. 85% telemetry completeness across the reporting window.

What the data actually says

Six findings
a spreadsheet
would never show you.

Each of these was surfaced automatically by the platform in the first 90 days — not discovered by someone scrolling through HMRC mileage returns and fuel-card statements.

509 t
Total CO₂e, straight from the engine
Not HMRC averages, not fuel-card math. A number your auditor can trace line by line back to the vehicle.
5.09 t
Per-vehicle footprint
Every vehicle in the fleet, annualised. The highest-duty vehicle carries 11.2 t; the lightest carries 1.8 t. Big variance — now visible.
85%
Scope 1 share
424 t direct combustion · 85 t Scope 3 Well-to-Tank. Most fleet reports miss the Scope 3 entirely.
±25%
Winter vs. summer seasonality
December burn runs 25% higher than July. Reports that ignore seasonality misread monthly trends — this one doesn't.
100%
ICE-only reporting scope
Every tonne on this page comes from a diesel or petrol drivetrain. An EV cohort sits outside this report, awaiting connection — once live, it lands in a separate section of the same output.
£0
Hardware bill
Every tonne above is read directly from the manufacturer's own APIs. No installers, no dongles, no chargebacks.

7 things your SECR tells you that a spreadsheet can't

Which is why
we built it.

01

Per-vehicle
footprint

Every vehicle, every month. Not fleet averages — actual reads from the vehicle.

02

WLTP
vs. real

Brochure mpg vs. what the engine is actually doing. Named vehicles, named gaps.

03

Idle-time
waste

Fuel cost of parked-but-running time, expressed in £ and tCO₂e.

04

Driver risk
scoring

Harsh events, speeding, cornering. The things that predict claims and fuel cost.

05

EV charging
patterns

On-peak vs. off-peak, home vs. depot, grid-mix weighted.

06

Seasonality
profile

Month-by-month, so you can read the report without squinting at a trend line.

07

Auditable
methodology

DEFRA 2025, GHG Protocol, signed chain from telemetry to tonnes.

Before / after

The way
UK fleets
have always
done it.

Before

HMRC averages & fuel-card math

  • Fleet-total mpg — no per-vehicle visibility
  • Brochure WLTP figures treated as reality
  • Scope 3 WTT estimated from a DEFRA table
  • No idle-time, no driver behaviour, no coaching signal
  • Spreadsheet stitched together quarterly, auditable by nobody
  • Board answers "good enough" because nothing better exists
After

Orbis IO · straight from the vehicle

  • Per-vehicle, per-trip, per-minute
  • Real MPG, real kWh — read from the engine / battery
  • Scope 3 WTT computed from actual fuel consumed
  • Driver scoring + idle + route flags surfaced automatically
  • Report regenerates in under a minute, any reporting window
  • Signed methodology your auditor can follow line by line
Methodology & transparency

Source data. Real 442-day live reporting window (01 Feb 2025 – 18 Apr 2026) from a UK conservation-sector fleet, anonymised as "Oakleaf Conservation Trust." All company-identifying information removed.

Annualisation. Scaled to a single 365-day reporting year using UK seasonality-weighted monthly factors (Dec 1.15×, Jan 1.12×, Jul 0.92×, etc., reflecting typical UK commercial-fleet diesel burn). Multiplier applied: 0.821.

Fleet normalisation. Real fleet of 223 vehicles (77 connected) re-cast as a 100-vehicle fleet with per-vehicle rates held constant. Scope 1 / Scope 3 ratios preserved. EV/ICE split adjusted pro-rata.

Standards. GHG Protocol Corporate Standard · UK DEFRA 2025 emission factors · Operational-control boundary · Data quality score 5 / 5 · Completeness 85%.

Scope of this report. This report covers the ICE portion of the fleet only. A separate EV cohort exists within the real source fleet but is outside the scope of this reporting window (awaiting connection) and contributes nothing, synthetic or otherwise, to the figures shown.

What's real. All totals, emission factors, per-vehicle rates and seasonality patterns are drawn from genuine live telemetry. Per-vehicle bands are computed from the real distribution; no individual vehicle make, model or registration is shown.
